Becoming a USSF Certified Soccer Referee

The next ref course is open for registration. It is in Yorktown on Sunday, December 8 

If you have completed the online training course at the USSF Learning Center, you should register now for the in-person class and field sessions on December 8.   To do so, see steps 3 and 4 of https://enysreferee.org/how-to-become-a-referee/  or below under the heading in red.

Register for course #30291   French Hill Elementary School Building, Yorktown Heights.  Act fast as space will be limited!

If you have not completed the online course, here are the full requirements (there is an online and an in-person component): 

· SafeSport must be taken by anyone who is 18 and over.  See Link below. (1.5 hours) (print completion certificate). Someone under 18 should not take this course yet; however, when an individual turns 18 in the same year as registration they have 7 days, under current SafeSport rules.

  • You will also be asked to sign a liability waiver which you will be sent prior to the class.

Once the items above are complete, the student is ready as a candidate for an IN-PERSON class, for which, you are invited.

  • Create a Game Officials Profile on Eastern NY’s Referee site in GameOfficials:  https://enysra.gameofficials.net, and register for a In-person Class

  • Fee for registration, classes (online and in-person), starter kit is $190, payable through Game Officials

  • Attend the one-day, in-person class (classroom plus on field, 5-6 hours)

NOTES:

Entry level grades, 9 and 8.... are no longer; along with grade 7, they are now classified as “Grassroots Referee.”

To print Learning Center certificate -- You should receive an email once the course is complete. The certificate will be uploaded on one’s main profile underneath his/her licenses. There should be a certificate section to upload and print.

82fc8c8c4c41)  This is a federal requirement for creating a safe and positive sports environment.. It is about 90 minutes in length but is free utilizing access code YC3E‐6P5G‐YYIL‐CS2M.  SafeSport will soon be added to the Grassroots modules but that has not happened as yet.
